Plant Description

This red flowering Pennisetum features large, soft bottlebrush flowers. Deep purple buds that mature to smoky red-purple plumes appear mid to late summer. Green foliage turns gold in the fall, forms a rounded, arching habit that brings texture and shape to mixed borders and perennial plantings. Plant it in moist, well-drained soil.
